Activated charcoal is produced through a process that creates millions of microscopic pores within carbon particles. This highly porous structure provides a large surface area capable of binding excess oil, dirt and environmental impurities. In skincare, activated charcoal is often used in products intended for deep cleansing and purification. It is particularly popular among individuals exposed to pollution, humidity and excess sebum production. In soap formulations, charcoal contributes both functional cleansing benefits and a distinctive appearance. We use activated charcoal to support a clean, refreshed skin feel without relying on abrasive exfoliating particles.
